Representative Henry Cuellar, a long-serving member of Congress, shared updates on diplomatic efforts and border security initiatives in a series of posts on October 13 and 14, 2025.
On October 13, Cuellar highlighted recent developments regarding the release of hostages, stating, “The return of the final twenty hostages is nothing short of a miracle and a testament to tireless diplomacy and international cooperation. Cuellar, who has represented his district in Congress through multiple election cycles, most recently won re-election in 2024 against Jay Furman with 52.8% of the vote. He has consistently secured victories in prior elections as well, including wins over Cassy Garcia in 2022 and Sandra Whitten in 2020.
