Rep. Henry Cuellar, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 28th district, has recently shared insights on various issues through his social media platform. Cuellar, who succeeded Ciro Rodriguez in 2005 and previously served in the Texas House of Representatives from 1987 to 2001, continues to be an active voice on matters of national concern.

On June 2, 2025, Rep. Cuellar addressed recent violent incidents targeting Jewish communities in the United States. He stated that “Just weeks after a terrorist murdered two young Jewish professionals in Washington, DC, another terrorist targeted Jewish Americans in Boulder, CO, attacking a group advocating for Israeli hostages and injuring a Holocaust survivor.” He emphasized that “Violence is never acceptable.”

In another post dated June 3, 2025, Cuellar expressed appreciation for law enforcement personnel during his travels to Washington D.C. He noted encountering an intelligence officer from Jim Hogg County Sheriff’s Office Operations LoneStar and remarked that “It is always great to connect with people who work hard to keep our communities safe.”

Additionally, on June 3rd, he highlighted a significant infrastructure project involving The Port of Corpus Christi. In collaboration with Rep. Cloud TX and backed by substantial federal funding amounting to $438 million out of a total $625 million project cost, this initiative aims to bolster trade and job creation across South Texas. Cuellar commented: “The $625 million improvement project for @ThePortofCC… will expand trade, strengthen national security.”

Henry Cuellar was born in Laredo, Texas in 1955 and currently resides there at age 67. His educational background includes degrees from Georgetown University and the University of Texas at Austin.
