Rep. Henry Cuellar, who has represented Texas’ 28th district in the U.S. Congress since 2005, shared updates on his recent engagements through a series of tweets. On June 4, 2025, Rep. Cuellar tweeted about a meeting with Steven Wright and members of the National Association of Realtors to discuss strategies for strengthening the housing market. He emphasized his commitment to improving affordability for first-time homebuyers and expanding housing supply in South Texas. “Today, I had the pleasure of meeting with @StevenWrightTX and many dedicated members of @nardotrealtor to discuss ways we can strengthen the housing market.”
The following day, June 5, Cuellar acknowledged an exceptional student from his district via Twitter. Blake Baber from Alexander High School in Laredo was recognized as the only Senate page from Texas this term. Later that same day, Rep. Cuellar tweeted about a productive morning spent with Rep. Don McLaughlin at the U.S Capitol. Henry Cuellar was born in Laredo, Texas in 1955 and currently resides there at age 67. He graduated from Georgetown University in 1978 with a BA before earning a JD from the University of Texas at Austin in 1981.
