Henry Cuellar engages local leaders in discussions on key regional issues

Representative Henry Cuellar, currently serving Texas’ 28th district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates on his recent meetings via social media. Cuellar, who has been in office since 2005 and previously served in the Texas House of Representatives, highlighted discussions with various local leaders about critical regional issues.

On March 10, 2025, Cuellar met with Hector Garza, President of the Laredo 2455 Border Patrol Union and Vice President of the National Border Patrol Council, along with other members of the border patrol from Laredo. In a tweet, he emphasized “the importance of supporting our brave…”.

Later that day, Cuellar announced another meeting on Twitter regarding infrastructure projects at the Port of Corpus Christi. He expressed his support for their future initiatives after discussing “their future desalination work and other crucial projects.”

The following morning on March 11, 2025, Cuellar tweeted about a meeting with representatives from the Texas Association of Federally Impacted Schools. The discussion focused on Impact Aid funding for public schools serving military families. He reaffirmed his commitment to education by stating “I will always support our schools and…”
