U.S. Representative Henry Cuellar, who has a long history of electoral victories in Texas congressional races, recently shared updates on social media about his activities and community engagement.

On October 4, 2025, Rep. Cuellar recognized the efforts of a local organization by stating, “I also presented a Congressional Recognition to Reparo Ranch Training, led by Gabriela and Santiago Martinez, for their innovative equine-assisted therapy programs that support veterans, first responders, and families in need of healing and hope. Two days later on October 6, Cuellar announced an online event to discuss pressing national issues: “Today at 10:30 AM, I’ll be hosting a Facebook Live roundtable on the government shutdown and its impact. The Mayor of the City of Laredo will join along with community partners and local organizations who support South Texans during this challenging time. Henry Cuellar has represented his district through several election cycles. In 2024, he won re-election against Jay Furman with 52.8% of the vote; in previous years he also secured victories over Cassy Garcia (2022), Sandra Whitten (2020), Arthur Thomas (2018), Zeffen Hardin (2016), and Will Alkens (2014). These consistent wins highlight his ongoing presence in Texas politics.
