The tweets, published between September 25 and September 27, 2025, highlight both local recognitions in his district and family celebrations.
On September 25, Cuellar noted the participation of his Laredo Outreach Coordinator at a school event: “Last week, my Laredo Outreach Coordinator, Melissa Peña, joined the @HseLaredo Spanish Club for their 9th annual Mexican Independence Day Celebration. During the event, she presented a Congressional Recognition to the students and their sponsor, Mr. Jorge Bahena, for their”.
Later that same day, Cuellar posted about honoring a longtime employee in Rio Grande City: “This morning in @CityofRGC I presented a Congressional Record to Ms. Josefina “Fina” Bazan in honor of her retirement after 48 years of dedicated service at the local @DairyQueen. Henry Cuellar has represented Texas’s 28th congressional district for multiple terms. In recent elections he has maintained his seat by defeating challengers such as Jay Furman in 2024 (52.8% to 47.2%), Cassy Garcia in 2022 (56.65% to 43.35%), Sandra Whitten in 2020 (58.3% to 39%), Arthur Thomas in 2018 (84.4% to 15.6%), Zeffen Hardin in 2016 (66.2% to 31.3%), and Will Alkens in 2014 (82.1% to 13.3%).
