On the afternoon of October 11, Cuellar posted about a visit to a local resource center: “This afternoon in Laredo, I toured the Bethany House Resource Center with Monica Bautista, Executive Director of Bethany House of Laredo; Jose Nava, Project Manager with Nava Group; Lindsay Vazquez, Disease Intervention Manager at ROOTS Recovery Center; Jessica Contreras, Grant”.
Later that day, he discussed efforts to improve downtown Laredo: “I also toured downtown Laredo with Cliff Killam to discuss potential renovations and improvements to local buildings. Henry Cuellar has represented Texas’s 28th congressional district since 2005. He has consistently won re-election in general elections over the past decade—defeating Jay Furman in 2024 (52.8% to 47.2%), Cassy Garcia in 2022 (56.65% to 43.35%), Sandra Whitten in 2020 (58.3% to 39%), Arthur Thomas in 2018 (84.4% to 15.6%), Zeffen Hardin in 2016 (66.2% to 31.3%), and Will Alkens in 2014 (82.1% to 13.3%).
