On April 9, 2026, Cuellar posted: “This morning in Laredo, I had the pleasure of presenting a Congressional Recognition to Sergio “Javi” Martinez for his outstanding achievement as a State Champion in powerlifting. It was great to be joined by Veronica Castillon, @LaredoISD Executive Director for Communications;”
The following day, on April 10, 2026, Cuellar shared another post stating: “My San Antonio Outreach Coordinators, Kelly Brooks and Adison Denham, attended the funeral service for David Lee Garza, Jr. at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church in Poteet, where they joined the community in honoring his life and legacy. They presented a Congressional Recognition”

Henry Cuellar has maintained a longstanding presence in Texas politics. He won re-election to Congress multiple times over the past decade—defeating Jay Furman in 2024 with 52.8% of the vote; Cassy Garcia in 2022 with 56.65%; Sandra Whitten in 2020 with 58.3%; Arthur Thomas in 2018 with 84.4%; Zeffen Hardin in 2016 with 66.2%; and Will Alkens in 2014 with over 82%.
