U.S. Representative Henry Cuellar recently highlighted several community initiatives and federal funding achievements in a series of social media posts. The tweets, published on August 6, 2025, detail ongoing infrastructure planning and outreach efforts in South Texas.
On August 6, Cuellar wrote: “Read more from @lmtnews. https://t.co/Pc7vLERyW2”.
That same day, he shared information about new infrastructure development: “This week in Webb County, planning began on a major new water pipeline along U.S. Highway 59, which was made possible by $7.5 million in federal funding I helped secure. Once complete, this project will deliver clean, reliable water to rural communities across South Texas,” (August 6, 2025).
In another post later that day, Cuellar discussed his office’s recent outreach activities: “My Outreach Coordinators, Kelly Brooks and Adison Denham, recently attended the back-to-school event at the Lytle Community Center to connect with local organizations, listen to community priorities, and offer the support of my team. Henry Cuellar has represented his district for multiple terms and has consistently secured victories in general elections against various opponents over the years. In the most recent election of 2024, he defeated Jay Furman with 52.8% of the vote. Previous wins include defeating Cassy Garcia in 2022 with 56.65%, Sandra Whitten in 2020 with 58.3%, Arthur Thomas in 2018 with 84.4%, Zeffen Hardin in 2016 with 66.2%, and Will Alkens in 2014 with over 82% of the vote.
