In his first tweet on September 15, 2025, Cuellar stated: “It was great to meet and thank nearly a dozen members of the Mississippi National Guard stationed in Washington, D.C.’s Navy Yard neighborhood this morning. I’m impressed by their service, dedication, and hard work in keeping our streets safe and secure. It was a sincere honor to”.

Henry Cuellar has represented his district through several election cycles. In 2024, he won re-election against Jay Furman with 52.8% of the vote. Previous victories include defeating Cassy Garcia in 2022 (56.65%), Sandra Whitten in 2020 (58.3%), Arthur Thomas in 2018 (84.4%), Zeffen Hardin in 2016 (66.2%), and Will Alkens in 2014 (82.1%). These results demonstrate consistent electoral support for Cuellar over the past decade.
