Rep. Henry Cuellar, a U.S. Congressman from Texas, posted several messages on his social media account on September 8, 2025, addressing both cultural and economic topics.
In celebration of a pop culture event, Cuellar wrote, “Happy Star Trek Day, everyone! Live long, prosper, and never stop exploring whether it’s space or your local community. https://t.co/mNdTLzW1LR” (September 8, 2025).
Shortly after this post, Cuellar shared a link to an external article with the message: “Read the full piece: https://t.co/dC9lFWe2JO” (September 8, 2025).
On the same day, he addressed concerns about economic policy and job growth in another tweet: “FYI: The @WSJ editorial board is raising the alarm. Tariffs are stalling job growth and driving losses across manufacturing, trade, and construction.

Henry Cuellar has maintained his seat in Congress through multiple election cycles. In the most recent general election of 2024, he defeated Jay Furman by securing approximately 52.8% of the vote. In previous years he won against Cassy Garcia in 2022 with nearly 57%, Sandra Whitten in 2020 with over 58%, Arthur Thomas in 2018 with more than 84%, Zeffen Hardin in 2016 with over two-thirds of votes cast for him at roughly 66%, and Will Alkens in 2014 by a wide margin as well.
