On August 4, 2025, Rep. Cuellar expressed concern about a recent incident at a local facility: “I’m concerned by the recent fire at the W.W. Wood warehouse in Pleasanton. Thanks to the swift and courageous response from Atascosa County first responders the situation was quickly brought under control, allowing recovery efforts to begin.” He highlighted the importance of first responders in managing the emergency and initiating recovery efforts.

Later on August 4, Rep. Cuellar recognized a milestone for a local healthcare provider: “My Outreach Coordinator, Adison Denham, presented a Congressional Certificate of Recognition to the Schertz Cibolo Emergency Clinic in honor of their 10-year anniversary serving the community.
For the past decade, the clinic has delivered high-quality, compassionate care to” The post acknowledged both staff contributions and ongoing service to area residents.
Henry Cuellar has served as U.S. Representative for Texas’s 28th congressional district through multiple election cycles. In 2024 he won re-election against Jay Furman with 52.8% of votes; previous victories include wins over Cassy Garcia in 2022 (56.65%), Sandra Whitten in 2020 (58.3%), Arthur Thomas in 2018 (84.4%), Zeffen Hardin in 2016 (66.2%), and Will Alkens in 2014 (82.1%).
