Henry Cuellar has represented Texas’s 28th District in Congress since 2005 after previously serving in the Texas House of Representatives from 1987 to 2001. He was born in Laredo, Texas in 1955 and continues to reside there. Cuellar earned his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University in 1978 and later received a law degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1981.
