In one post dated September 2, 2025, Cuellar highlighted a visit to a local business: “It was a pleasure to visit Shifters American Grill while I was in Atascosa. I enjoyed saying hello to the owner and staff, who made the place feel so welcoming! The food was delicious and the service was excellent! It is important that we keep supporting our local businesses!”

Later that day, Cuellar posted a link to further reading from a regional news outlet: “Read more from @krgv. https://t.co/BS5qodFZ6U”.

In another post on September 2, 2025, he referenced an announcement regarding federal funding for infrastructure improvements: “ICYMI: Last week, I stood alongside local leaders in Roma to announce $5 million in federal funding to restore and maintain the Roma-Miguel Alemán Suspension Bridge. This investment will better connect our communities, boost tourism, and create new opportunities for cross-border”.

Henry Cuellar has maintained his seat in Congress over multiple election cycles. In the most recent contest in 2024, he defeated Jay Furman with 52.8% of the vote. Previous victories include wins against Cassy Garcia in 2022 with 56.65%, Sandra Whitten in 2020 with 58.3%, Arthur Thomas in 2018 with 84.4%, Zeffen Hardin in 2016 with 66.2%, and Will Alkens in 2014 with 82.1%. These results demonstrate consistent electoral support throughout his tenure.
