U.S. Congressman Henry Cuellar, representing Texas’ 28th district, has been actively engaging with key stakeholders on issues pertinent to his constituents. In a series of recent meetings, Cuellar addressed matters ranging from banking and consumer protection to water infrastructure and urban development in Texas.
On April 8, 2025, Representative Cuellar announced his meeting with the Texas Bankers Association. He emphasized discussions around the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and outlined strategies “to improve policies that benefit both banks and consumers”. Cuellar expressed his optimism about continuing collaborative efforts to develop effective solutions for his district, TX-28.
The following day, April 9, 2025, Cuellar engaged with the Rio Grande International Study Center (RGISC) through their Texas Advocacy Project. The meeting centered on the pressing issue of water quality and infrastructure in the state. Cuellar highlighted the “critical need for clean and reliable water” and discussions focused on enhancing the state’s water infrastructure to ensure consistent access for communities.
Later on April 9, 2025, Cuellar met with Eddie Romero, Chief Strategy Officer of Centro San Antonio, and representatives from the International Downtown Association. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss strategies “for enhancing downtown San Antonio”. Cuellar expressed a strong interest in collaborating to support downtown San Antonio’s development efforts.
