Rep. Henry Cuellar, U.S. Congressman for Texas’s 28th district, shared updates on his recent visits across several counties in his district through a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) on August 27 and 28, 2025.

On August 27, Cuellar posted about his priorities as a representative and his engagement with constituents in Zapata County: “As your Congressman, my top priority is making sure families in #TX28 have the resources and opportunities they need to succeed. Today, while making visits across our district, I was in Zapata County meeting with local leaders and seniors to talk about how federal investments can” (August 27, 2025).

Later that day, he described activities in Webb County: “While in Webb County, I visited downtown Laredo and joined the community at San Agustin Church to discuss how my office can help secure the federal resources needed to support the community. Afterwards, I visited Dr. Henry Cuellar Elementary, where I spoke with students in” (August 27, 2025).

On August 28, Cuellar reported on meetings held in Starr County: “During my visit to Starr County, I met with local leaders and community members to discuss how federal resources can help strengthen our community and address the priorities that matter most to families throughout the county.

I toured the Roma Miguel Aleman Suspension Bridge” (August 28, 2025).

Henry Cuellar has represented Texas’s 28th congressional district for multiple terms. In recent elections, he secured victories over Jay Furman in 2024 by a margin of approximately six percentage points; previous wins include contests against Cassy Garcia in 2022 and Sandra Whitten in 2020. His electoral history demonstrates consistent support within his district.
