In a series of tweets, Representative Henry Cuellar recently shared glimpses of his activities and engagements via his social media platform. As a longstanding public servant, Cuellar has been representing Texas’ 28th district in the U.S. Congress since 2005, having replaced Ciro Rodriguez. His long career includes service in the Texas House of Representatives and significant educational achievements with a BA from Georgetown University and a JD from the University of Texas at Austin.

On April 19, 2025, Rep. Cuellar shared that “My family and I stopped in for a banana split at Marble Slab. Delicious!” The tweet, while casual, offers a personal glimpse into his day-to-day life.

Later that day, Cuellar posted about his Laredo Outreach Coordinator’s participation in a local event, tweeting that “This week, my Laredo Outreach Coordinator Andres Velazquez attended the FITBEATS grand opening to present a Congressional Certificate of Recognition to owner Sarahi Villanueva. Thank you for empowering women through wellness, dance, and entrepreneurship in #TX28!” This reflects Cuellar’s support for local businesses and initiatives that promote wellness and entrepreneurship.

In another post, Cuellar highlighted the community involvement of his San Antonio Outreach Coordinator, “My San Antonio Outreach Coordinator Olivia Branson joined seniors and staff at ‘A Night with Arboretum CEO Adriana Quinones’ to share how our office can help with passports, federal benefits, and much more. If you need help with a federal issue, please reach out directly:” This illustrates Cuellar’s commitment to constituent services and his office’s proactive stance in offering assistance with federal matters.

Henry Cuellar, aged 67, was born and currently resides in Laredo, Texas.
