There were three multiracial students enrolled in Jim Hogg County ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 200% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Jim Hogg County ISD schools welcomed 1,078 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, multiracial students comprised 0.3% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Jim Hogg County ISD roughly covers schools within Jim Hogg County and has a main office in Hebbronville.

Hebbronville Elementary School was the only school in the district which enrolled multiracial students, welcoming three students in the 2021-22 school year.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
