On March 5, Cuellar expressed his pleasure in meeting with representatives from the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce during their trip to Washington D.C. He noted that they discussed significant initiatives including healthcare service expansion, mental health improvements, and the establishment of a new dyslexia magnet school in San Antonio. "It was a pleasure to meet with representatives from the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce during their SA to DC trip. We discussed important initiatives like expansion of healthcare services, mental health, and a new dyslexia magnet school in San Antonio."
Later that day, Cuellar also met with representatives from Buckner International to discuss international aid for Latin America. He commended their efforts and indicated his support for their future endeavors. "This afternoon I had the pleasure of meeting with representatives of Buckner International. Throughout our meeting we discussed international aid for people throughout Latin America."
In another post on March 5, Rep. Cuellar shared his condolences following the death of Rep. Sylvester Turner. He reflected on Turner's dedication to Houston and his tireless work for his district during their time serving together both in the Texas House and briefly in Congress."I’m deeply saddened by the passing of Rep. Sylvester Turner."
