Representative Henry Cuellar, currently serving in the U.S. Congress for Texas’ 28th district, has been actively engaging with various entities to discuss pressing issues related to energy policy, international trade, and federal workforce plans. These engagements reflect his ongoing commitment to national security, economic growth, and efficient government operations.

On March 5, 2025, Rep. Cuellar met with representatives from Securing America’s Future Energy (SAFE), including Skip Estes, Director of Government Relations. In this meeting, they discussed energy policy's role in national security and Cuellar's work on the American Energy Dominance Caucus. Earlier that day on March 5th, Cuellar also engaged with the Inter-Parliamentary Committee of the Canadian Parliament to address border trade issues. He emphasized the importance of strengthening economic ties with Canada for job creation and economic growth. On March 7th, Cuellar expressed concerns regarding the administration's plans to reduce the federal workforce while supporting efforts to cut waste and eliminate duplication. He stressed protecting essential services relied upon by millions of Americans as a priority amidst these changes."This administration's plans to reduce the federal workforce are raising concerns... we must protect core services that millions of Americans rely on."
