41 schools to share $8.2 million in Texas Workforce Commission grants

Over $8 million in grants have been awarded to 41 colleges, technical institutes, community colleges and independent school districts by the Texas Workforce Commission for a program that's supporting education for high-demand jobs in Texas.

Cuellar backs bill to preserve Zapata County ranchers' cattle-grazing leases

U.S. Rep. Henry Cuellar has proposed a bill and secured $500,000 to protect and extend cattle grazing leases in Zapata County along the Mexican border in Texas, properties that some families’ ancestors have worked for over a century.
