Cost of college was unchanged for all students at Laredo Community College

In-state tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at Laredo Community College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Texas residents paid $4,500 to attend the two-year public institution in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Non-resident students would have paid 27.7 percent more than residents this year, or $5,748. Non-resident tuition and fees were unchanged from $5,748 in 2017-18.

About 98 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Texas residents. And about 2 percent are citizens of other countries.

Data shows 88 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 792 students received grants or scholarships totaling $4.4 million and 39 students took out student loans totaling more than $105,119.

Including all undergraduates (10,181), 5,079 students used grants or scholarships totaling $22 million.
