How many students were enrolled in Jim Hogg County ISD schools in 2022-23 school year?

There were 1,072 students enrolled in Jim Hogg County ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 0.6% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 53.2% of them were boys, and 46.8% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were Hispanic, representing 96.5% of the Jim Hogg County ISD total enrollment.

Jim Hogg County ISD roughly covers schools within Jim Hogg County with its main office in Hebbronville.

Among the three schools in Jim Hogg County ISD, Hebbronville Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 508 students in the 2022-23 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
