There were 245 students enrolled in Webb CISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 7.2% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 55.1% of them were boys, and 44.9% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were Hispanic, representing 95.9% of the Webb CISD total enrollment.

Webb CISD roughly covers schools within Webb County with its main office in Bruni.

Among the three schools in Webb CISD, Oilton Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 108 students in the 2022-23 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
