There were 3,376 students enrolled in Zapata County ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 2.7% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 52.9% of them were boys, and 47.1% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were Hispanic, representing 99.4% of the Zapata County ISD total enrollment.

Zapata County ISD roughly covers schools within Zapata County with its main office in Zapata.

Among the six schools in Zapata County ISD, Zapata High School recorded the highest enrollment of 1,034 students in the 2022-23 school year.
