There were 10 white students enrolled in Webb CISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 9.1% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Webb CISD schools welcomed 245 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, white students comprised 4.1% of the student body to be the least represented ethnicity in the district.

Webb CISD roughly covers schools within Webb County and has a main office in Bruni.

Among the three schools in Webb CISD schools, Oilton Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of white students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of four students.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
