Henry Cuellar discusses key meetings on water issues and education funding

Rep. Henry Cuellar, who has served in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 28th district since 2005, recently shared updates on his engagements and achievements via social media. The posts reflect his involvement in discussions with key stakeholders from various sectors, including agriculture and education.

On February 11, 2025, Rep. Cuellar posted about a meeting with members of the House Appropriations Committee and representatives from the agriculture industry to discuss water deliveries from Mexico. He noted that he was joined by Congresswoman Monica De La Cruz (TX-15) and Mr. Jed Murray, Director of Government Relations at Texas "Today I met with members from the House Appropriations Committee and representatives from the agriculture industry to discuss water deliveries from Mexico."

Later that day, Rep. Cuellar tweeted about another meeting held in the morning with representatives from the Alamo Colleges District, including Walter Serna, Dr. Amy Bosley, Lorraine Pulido, and Eliron Rosen—his former San Antonio office intern. They discussed matters related to the upcoming Appropriations process and education funding "This morning, I met with representatives from the Alamo Colleges District..."

In another tweet dated February 11, 2025, Rep. Cuellar congratulated South Texas College for achieving a high nursing pass rate across Texas with its Associate Degree in Nursing Program attaining a 98.14% pass rate on the 2024 NCLEX-RN exam "South Texas College ranks No. 1 in nursing pass rates across Texas..."
