Rep. Henry Cuellar, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas' 28th district, shared his recent activities through a series of tweets. Cuellar, who has been in Congress since 2005 after replacing Ciro Rodriguez, shared updates involving legislative discussions, travel anecdotes, and developments concerning local infrastructure.

On April 16, 2025, Cuellar tweeted about a productive meeting he had at the state capitol in Austin with Texas Rep. Richard Raymond, and Mario Palos and Mario Palos Jr. of Palos Garza Forwarding. They discussed prominent "trade issues affecting our region," highlighting the importance of collaboration with state representatives and stakeholders.

Later, on April 17, 2025, Cuellar mentioned a stop at Buc-ee's during his return journey from Austin, appreciating it as a "reliable place to take a break and refuel before getting back on the road."

On the same day, he announced a significant development regarding the infrastructure in Laredo. Cuellar stated his pleasure in confirming that "the State Department has confirmed its foreign policy recommendation for the @cityoflaredo's presidential permit application to expand the Colombia Solidarity Bridge," which is now being reviewed by the White House.

Rep. Cuellar, a Laredo native, has a longstanding history in both state and federal legislative roles, having also served in the Texas House of Representatives from 1987 to 2001. He holds a BA from Georgetown University and a JD from the University of Texas at Austin.
